I've titled this "Defining Moment" because as I stood here the far shore was a straight undefined line of trees. I remember smiling as a cloud cast shadow moved across the line of trees. What was without definition was difined as the shadow of the cloud moved over this spot, first the near shore was all in shadow but with the shadow's movement a small bay was defined as the foreground and background trees were split, highlighted by shadow and light. The moment was just right as the darker shadowed trees lend drama to the work and the juxtaposition of the foreground trees in front of them makes the light even brighter.
Defining Moments, we all have them in our lives when what looks all the same, suddenly becomes clear and is defined by an experience.
