Out amongst the sparkle of Georgian Bay's waters are a myriad of islands. We spent several days out amongst the offshore islands in Georgian Bay and this is the one we spent time on so that I could walk around it and find the best perspective for the island. Many are barren except for scrub vegetation that has somehow managed a foothold on the wind and water scoured granite outcroppings that have endured winter ice and withering Arctic blasts and summers thundering gales. They are small oasis of solace in what is a Canadian playground for the suburbanites and city dwellers who teem here on summer weekends and vacations.
