I love Macintosh apples and wait with anticipation at summer's end for the Macs to be sold at the local Waterloo Farmers Markets. My mouth will begin to water just at the sight of those first large red green, plump apples. You get them into the car, untie the bag, spying the biggest one and bite into one after rubbing it on the fabric of your sleeve to a polished sheen. Then there is this ripple of pleasure as that spurt of juice flows into your mouth and the crunchy crisp texture of sweet tart flavour, be such a marvelous, simple delight.
