Spirit Tines, 16 x 16 inches, oil on canvas. I walked the sand point in solitude, my partner slept, the dogs didn't stir. Everything was still, occassionaly faint rustling in the grasses as some small creature rummaged for food. The crunching of pine neeedles and forest detritus beneath each step. It was warm, no perception of any chill. I don't remember any kind of breeze. I find these moments in that moonlit, still darkness, very spiritual in that it is when I feel most connected to the earth energies of living things around me not just animals for everything has its own energy. Hence the inspiration for the title "Spirit Tines"
