commission C.N. Weber, published 1998, edition size 200, number of screens-colours 23
"The Gift" was commissioned to commemorate Weber's 100 years of business. I chose the subject of a weaver as that is the German origin of the name. The colours were in keeping with the company logo colours. It was an individual who was a member of the weaving guild locally in the Waterloo Region who posed for this. She also volunteered at the Joesph Schneider House on Queen Street in Kitchener and she sat on a bench in costume there and I then incorporated that into another image of her working the loom at the guild premises. The edition was framed and given to their customers to commemorate that 100th anniversary.
